Duration: 1800 Hours
The first day of class you will receive your student kit consisting of all necessary supplies for your training. The course begins with 300 hours of theory and clinical practice as a “junior” student. You will study your textbook and practice hair services and manicuring on mannequins. Upon graduation to the Senior Clinic Floor, you will continue your theory training and perform services on the general public – at reduced prices – under the supervision of the Senior Instructor. Included in this 1800 hours will be 300 hours of manager training, which covers advanced hair techniques as well as business skills. A manager’s license is required to work without supervision in a salon.

This is for licensed cosmetologists who did not receive manager training or who are from another state in which the license does not qualify for managers in Ohio. This course teaches the basics of manicuring and pedicuring, including gels, acrylics and nail art. The manager portion prepares you to own or manage a nail salon.
